Also in Khabarovsk on May 9, other legendary samples of military equipment from the times of the Great Patriotic War, two BM-13 “Katyusha” and an IS-3 tank, will pass through Lenin Square.
The mechanized column will be closed by 20 samples of retro vehicles.
SU-152 is a heavy Soviet self-propelled artillery installation of the Great Patriotic War, built on the basis of the KV-1S heavy tank and armed with a powerful 152-mm howitzer-gun ML-20S.
The T-34 is a Soviet medium tank of the Second World War period, in series production since 1940. During 1942-1947 – the main tank of the Red Army and the USSR Armed Forces. It was the main tank of the Red Army until the first half of 1944, before its modification T-34-85 entered the troops.
BM-13 – appeared during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 with the unofficial name of the “Katyusha”, barrelless field rocket artillery systems. Such installations were actively used by the Workers ‘and Peasants’ Red Army during the Second World War.
The IS-3 is a Soviet heavy tank developed during the Great Patriotic War, launched into mass production in its last days and did not have time to take part in battles. Therefore, this combat vehicle is often considered one of the first post-war Soviet tanks.
