The victims of the tragic events at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant were also recalled at the Mitinskoye cemetery at the Memorial to the first victims of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster. A memorial rally was held here, in which the liquidators of the accident and their relatives, representatives of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, employees of other ministries and departments took part. “In those days, I had to send the personnel of firefighters and rescuers to liquidate, to eliminate the accident that we did not know yet. To date, this disaster has already been sufficiently studied, but we still have a lot to learn about it,” said Pavel Baryshev.

At the end of the ceremony, a company of the EMERCOM of Russia honor guard marched along the main alley of the cemetery.
