Military units and formations of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District moved to permanent deployment points as part of the final stage of the control check of the troops.

During the active phase of the check, the aviation units and subunits of the anti-aircraft missile forces performed combat training tasks using aviation weapons and combat launches of anti-aircraft guided missiles at state ranges.

The crews of the army, operational-tactical and transport aviation will fly to airfields in the Leningrad, Smolensk, Pskov, Kursk, Voronezh, Tver regions and the Republic of Karelia.

In total, over 2,000 servicemen took part in the inspection and more than 400 pieces of weapons and military equipment were involved, including Su-35S, Su-30SM, MiG-31, An-12, Mi-8AMTSh Terminator, Ka-52 helicopters. Alligator, Mi-28N Night Hunter, as well as S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems and Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems.
