On April 27, the head of the EMERCOM of Russia Evgeny Zinichev arrived in the city of Lensk (Yakutia) on a working visit. The operational group of the department flew over the water area of the Lena River, where ice jams and an increase in the water level are most likely. According to forecasts, this year the active opening of the river is expected on May 5-14. The specialists carried out preventive measures in advance – blackening of the ice and ice-cutting work.

After the inspection of the territories in the administration of the Lensky district, under the leadership of the Minister, a coordination meeting was held on the readiness of the reacting units for the flood period and the fire hazardous season. The meeting was attended by the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev.

Opening the meeting, E. Zinichev noted that one of the most important tasks for the territorial subsystem of the RSChS is to cope with seasonal risks. “The main focus is on controlling the passage of spring floods in the Lena River basin. In the Irkutsk region, its opening is in the active phase. In Lensk, we expect these processes closer to May 9, where the maximums are assumed to be higher than the norm by 1-1.3 meters. Space monitoring simulated 53 possible areas of ice jams. In this regard, it is planned to organize events for accident-free passage of flood waters traditionally in 3 stages. It is planned to leave 9 operational groups of departments with the ability to move as the wave of breaking the ice passes, ”the Minister emphasized.

At present, the hydrological situation on the territory of the subject is stable, there are no flooded settlements. Due to the risk of spring floods, the water level may rise with reaching critical levels on 14 rivers in 98 settlements. More than 16.5 thousand people, 2.7 thousand units of equipment, 191 watercraft and 10 units of aviation equipment are in readiness for response.

During the meeting, the participants also discussed the region’s readiness for a fire hazardous season. A grouping of forces and means of the Yakutsk territorial subsystem of the RSChS was created, consisting of about 9 thousand people, more than a thousand units. equipment and 48 units. aviation technology. To protect settlements, objects and territories from the threat of the transition of wildfires, a set of preventive measures is being implemented.

“By far the most important thing is to find the fire source. The department is actively working in this direction, including through the introduction of information technology. The space monitoring system, our application “Termotochki” have proven their effectiveness. It is necessary to reduce as much as possible the time of bringing information about emergencies and incidents to the decision-makers. And it must meet the requirements of efficiency and accuracy. If we talk about the fire-prevention regime, the most important thing is to introduce it on time, we must proceed from the real danger and possible consequences, ”said E. Zinichev.

In order to prevent fires in dry vegetation, to take additional measures to prevent emergencies, the population was informed about fire safety measures. In addition, work has been completed on the creation of interdepartmental patrol and control groups on the territory of all 35 municipalities of the republic – a total of 946 groups of all types. The work of aviation EMERCOM of Russia and RSChS is planned for monitoring and transferring forces and means to extinguish wildfires. Work was organized with 83 heads of settlements adjacent to forest areas.
