As part of a planned bilateral tactical exercise for the formation of ships protecting the water area of the main base of the Pacific Fleet, mine-sweeping ships worked in the Sea of Japan for mine action to support the deployment of missile-cutter strike groups from a basing point and at sea crossing, in conditions of the use of a conventional enemy of mine weapons.

The basic minesweepers Yakov Balyaev, BT-100, BT-114 and BT-232 as part of the tactical group successfully solved the tasks of setting contact and non-contact trawls, exceeding the established standards. The Pacific men conducted an exercise on escorting missile boats behind trawls and forcing a minefield with the implementation of a set of measures to destroy floating, bottom and anchor mines.

Also, during the exercise, preventive grenade throwing was carried out on the ships of the mine-sweeping group in order to ensure the safe parking of minesweepers in the unprotected roadstead.
