New Year’s ballet “The Nutcracker” is a show performance inspired by the ballet of the same name by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and specially adapted for children. The production is based on the libretto by Marius Petipa and choreography by Vasily Vainonen, revised by Valery Kovtun.

For over 100 years now, the brilliant music and favorite characters have made The Nutcracker the most popular children’s New Year’s ballet in the world. Who hasn’t dreamed of being in the shoes of Marie and the Nutcracker? And how the dances of the Sugar Plum Fairies, “Chocolate”, “Coffee”, “Tea” and the most delicate “Waltz of the Flowers” are mesmerizing!

The Nutcracker at the Mosconcert Hall marks the beginning of the love for ballet and the wonderful fairy tale by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. The performance will be attended by artists from the Moscow State Ballet Theater of Classical Choreography La Classique under the direction of Elik Melikov.

Ded Moroz and Snegurochka will be waiting for spectators in the foyer of the concert hall, guests will play outdoor games and dance around the New Year tree.
