Pilots of the Central Military District (CVD) conducted the first joint training of a demonstration flight of aviation over an airfield in the Sverdlovsk Region in preparation for the military parade in Yekaterinburg, dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

During the training, 14 planes and helicopters of the tactical, army and transport aviation of the Central Military District flew over the airfield: high-altitude fighter-interceptors MiG-31BM, fighter-bombers Su-34, reconnaissance aircraft Su-24MR, combat attack helicopters Mi-24, military – transport Mi-8, the world’s largest serial transport helicopter Mi-26, as well as the An-26, An-12 and Tu-134 aircraft.

Airplanes and helicopters took off from four airfields in the Perm Territory, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. The pilots assembled into a single formation in a predetermined area, flew in pairs at reduced intervals and minimum altitudes from 200 to 400 meters.

During the first joint training, the crews of various types of aircraft worked out the coordination of actions, strict adherence to distances and speed limits for a timely, accurate to the second, flight over the main square of the Ural capital on Victory Day. Earlier, the flight personnel of the Central Military District worked out the coordination in the composition of pairs at home airfields.
