Spectacle“P.P.P.”– the author’s theatrical interpretation of director Yuri Eremin based on the novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky “Crime and Punishment”. An abbreviation is visible in the title of the play, behind which is the name of the main character of the play and the novel – Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov.

Familiar from school, the story of a former student who imagines himself to be a superhuman and, out of ideological considerations, killed an old money-lender and her sister, is told in a new way. The director, who is also the author of the play and the production designer, does not engage in moralizing, does not fall into the pathos of condemnation and mentoring tone.

He makes the viewer tensely follow the detective events of the play, conducting his own “mental” investigation. First of all, this concerns the main characters and main antagonists of the play – Raskolnikov and the investigator Porfiry Petrovich, who is leading his case, performed by Alexei Trofimov and Viktor Sukhorukov.
