The SME Corporation (part of the VEB.RF group), together with the Russian Export Center (REC), will look for potential exporters from small and medium-sized businesses and help them enter foreign markets using e-commerce mechanisms, the corporation’s general director Alexander Isaevich told reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, work in this direction is planned as part of the corporation’s new strategy for 2021-2025.

“This is a new direction for the corporation – the export of SMEs. The Corporation, together with REC, will carry out a proactive search for potential SME-exporters,” grow “them through acceleration programs, and also promote goods and services of SME-exporters using e-commerce mechanisms.” , – said Isaevich.

He noted that the corporation identifies six key areas of activity for the next five years: financial support for SMEs, development of sales markets, provision of support infrastructure for SMEs in the regions, support for entrepreneurs at the start and beyond at all stages, protection of the rights of entrepreneurs and digitalization of support measures.

The SME Corporation is one of the largest Russian development institutions. With its help, the state provides support to representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. As part of the reform of development institutions, the corporation will join a larger development institution – VEB.RF, on the basis of which an investment block will be created to stimulate economic growth.
