Order of April 27, 2021 No. 1073-r

From now on, the Federal Agency for Fishery will be responsible for issuing conclusions for the export of Artemia eggs (cysts). This decision was made by the Government at the request of business. The decree on this matter has already been signed.

Artemia is a crustacean that lives in salt lakes. Its eggs (cysts) are used in bird feed, in the breeding of fry of various fish, as well as biofertilizer in horticulture and plant growing.

Previously, companies that supplied these products abroad faced difficulties in agreeing on export decisions, since the law did not clearly define the powers of government agencies in this matter. Now – after the transfer of this functionality completely to the jurisdiction of the Federal Agency for Fishery – the business will not face such a problem.

The special export license will continue to be issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the basis of permits issued by the Federal Agency for Fishery.
