“The first time I came across a play was somewhere in the mid-80s, I just entered the theater school in Rostov-on-Don. And this story did not interest me in any way – an ordinary chamber work. But recently I re-read this play, and it burned me with its human truth, the truth about life, women. It contains the archetype of the Russian woman. I didn’t even think about what time the action takes place: Soviet or some other. Never mind. Apparently, it just worked out. Especially if the director has actresses at his disposal who can play it. In our case, these are wonderful Olesya Zheleznyak and Tatiana Kravchenko. With nostalgia for youth, with love for actresses and love for the text, I composed this performance, ”says Roman Samgin.
