One of the convicts serving a sentence in correctional colony No. 9 wrote a poem “Revived photograph” dedicated to the fate of women during the Great Patriotic War. The convict was inspired by a photograph that depicts women from the Ravensbrück concentration camp, in whose eyes one can read the sadness of the terrible events they experienced.

The author wanted to convey to the audience that on the holiday of the Great Victory we will always remember what qualities of our people helped to defeat the enemy: patience, courage, the greatest stamina, love for the Fatherland! She put into the poem her hope that people will not forget what the women prisoners of war had to go through.

The poem “Photo Revived” did not leave indifferent the convicted women who study in the circle of correspondents, in connection with which they decided to shoot a video version of the poem for broadcast on the cable television network of the institution.
