The “Teplitsa” section of the colony-settlement No. 6 (Sterlitamak) specializes in growing flower seedlings. It is intended for landscaping parks, squares and streets of Sterlitamak.

The institution signed a contract for the supply of flower seedlings for the city in the amount of more than 500 thousand rubles. Another part of the seedlings will be sold by private orders and will be used for the improvement of the colony-settlement.

For planting in open ground, the seedlings will be ready in May-June. In total, 27 varieties of flowers are grown in the greenhouse. The most popular flower supplied by KP-6 is petunias. Allisum, Ageratum, Marigolds, Verbena, Portulaca, Salvia, Cineraria and others are also intended for landscape design.

It should be noted that the greenhouse not only generates income, but also provides employment opportunities for convicts. As women working in greenhouses note, such work with flowers brings aesthetic pleasure, improves mood and maintains a healthy psychological climate in the women’s team.
