On April 29, 2021, within the framework of the National Project “International Cooperation and Export”, the Department of Economic Development and Investment Activities of the Oryol Region, together with the Export Support Center of the Oryol Region, held an online event “Hour with the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia.”
The event was attended by the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia Anna Valerievna Donchenko, Member of the Government of the Oryol Region – Head of the Department Antontsev Sergey Yurievich, Director of the Non-Governmental Organization MCC “Microfinance Fund of the Oryol Region” Valentina Sergeevna Koskina and interested Russian companies from the Oryol Region.
During the videoconferencing, the parties discussed the current state of trade and economic ties. Trade Representative of Russia in Armenia Anna Donchenko reported on the high level of bilateral cooperation between the Oryol region and Armenia in recent years.
At the same time, Anna Donchenko spoke about the existing nomenclature of bilateral trade, as well as promising opportunities for increasing the export of products from the Oryol region to Armenia, noting primarily the food industry, machinery and equipment, products of the textile and chemical industries, including with a temporary ban on the import of end-use goods of Turkish origin into the Republic, introduced by the Government of Armenia from December 31, 2020.
During the videoconferencing process, answers were given to the questions posed by exporters of the region, points of contact were found on the topic of export activities, concrete steps were outlined towards mutually beneficial cooperation of the Russian Trade Mission in Armenia with business representatives of the Oryol region to establish cooperation with Armenian partners in order to increase the export of products manufactured in Oryol region.
