In accordance with the plan of combat training of the Pacific Fleet, training flights of anti-submarine aircraft Tu-142mz and Il-38 took place in Kamchatka.

During the flights, the crews of a pair of TU-142 long-range anti-submarine aircraft and three Il-38 aircraft worked out the tasks of searching, classifying, tracking the submarine of the imaginary enemy.

In the course of performing tasks over the water area of ​​Avacha Bay, the pilots carried out a comprehensive application of radar and hydroacoustic detection equipment with the placement of buoys, the reception and analysis of information transmitted by them.

During the exercise, the crews of anti-submarine aircraft interacted with naval search and strike groups as part of the small anti-submarine ships Ust-Ilimsk, Kholmsk, MPK-82 and MPK-107 of the formation of ships protecting the water area of ​​the Troops and forces in the North east of Russia.
