“To date, 112 new houses have been built under the renovation program with a capacity of 1.3 million square meters, 85 of them have already been handed over for settlement. Almost 29 thousand program participants have already received the keys to new apartments, ”he added.

A total of 36.6 thousand residents have already moved into new buildings from 248 old houses or are processing documents.

“At the moment, construction of 175 facilities with a capacity of 2.8 million square meters is underway, another 96 facilities with a capacity of 1.9 million square meters are under design,” said Andrei Bochkarev.

The renovation program was approved in 2017. It included 5175 residential buildings in all administrative districts of the capital. More than a million people will move to new housing.

The apartments are finished in comfort class. The walls of the rooms are covered with non-woven wallpaper for painting, the floors in bathrooms, balconies and loggias, kitchens and hallways are covered with porcelain stoneware, and the rooms are covered with laminate. All the necessary plumbing is also installed.

The yards of new buildings are landscaped, and the adjacent territories are landscaped. Wide sidewalks, bike paths and bike parking, as well as recreation areas will be installed near the houses. In addition, when designing neighborhoods, the need to build additional social facilities – schools, kindergartens and clinics – is taken into account.
