For them, the paratroopers guards prepared personalized gifts that were presented in a solemn atmosphere at their home.

At the end of the event, in the courtyards of the veterans, the performances of the musical group “Airborne Brotherhood, the military orchestra and the personnel of the Ulyanovsk airborne unit with the performance of songs of the war years took place.

Among the performed works everyone’s favorite songs “Katyusha”, “Darkie”, “From the heroes of the past”, “Ballad of a soldier”, “Victory Day” and others.

During the performance of the group of the Ulyanovsk Guards Airborne Forces “Airborne Brotherhood” and the military orchestra, an action “Immortal Regiment” took place, during which residents of the house in which the veterans live and residents of nearby houses went out onto the balconies with portraits of their relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War and together they sang the song “Victory Day”, thereby congratulating the veterans and paying tribute to the memory of the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War.

In the final part of the congratulations, the paratroopers marched under the windows of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

Pavel Kuzmich Kletnev (96 years old) – participant of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, Guard sergeant, spent the whole war as part of the 8th Airborne Brigade of the 9th Guards Airborne Army.

In August 1942, at the age of 18, he was drafted into the Red Army
and was sent for training at the Chebarkul artillery school, after which he was sent to the front, near Leningrad, in the 1106th artillery regiment. In January 1943 he took part in breaking the blockade of Leningrad.

In May 1943, he was sent for training at the officer’s artillery courses near Sverdlovsk, however, in July of the same year, by Stalin’s order, he was sent to the Airborne Forces, to the 8th Airborne Brigade
9th Guards Airborne Army, where he was subsequently promoted to the rank of sergeant and appointed to command the squad.

As part of the brigade, he went through the entire war along the roads of Belarus, Hungary, Austria, Czechoslovakia. After the end of the war, he also served
in Czechoslovakia and Estonia, and in March 1947 he was demobilized and returned to Kazan, where he still lives.

For 37 years Pavel Kuzmich worked as the head of the transport department of the Kazan Electromechanical Plant. At 77 he retired. His total work experience is 56 years.

ANTSIFEROVA Gennady Vladimirovich (96 years old).

Born December 23, 1925 in the village. Sandy East Kazakhstan region in the family of a hereditary Siberian Cossack. At the end of the 7th grade, he entered the Alma-Ata technical school, from where in January 1943 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army and sent to the Oryol infantry school. In July 1943, by voluntary selection, he was sent to the 19th and then to the 5th airborne brigades (Dmitrov, Kirzhach).

As part of the Airborne Forces, he participated in combat battles on the Dnieper, in the Svir operation, the liberation of Belarus, Hungary, Austria, Czechoslovakia.

From 1946 to 1950 served in the 296th regiment of the 98th Guards. Svirskaya red banner traffic rules, 37 VDK in the Far East (Manzovka).

In 1973, by order of the USSR Ministry of Construction, he was appointed chief engineer of Glavulyanovskstroy. Provided engineering support for the construction of industrial and civil complexes in Ulyanovsk. In 1986 he retired.

Awarded with the orders of “Patriotic War” 2nd degree, “Glory” 3rd degree, “Red Banner of Labor”; medals “For Courage”, “For the capture of Vienna”, “For the liberation of Belarus”, “For the victory over Germany.”
