Urban project “Street Artist” opens up a new direction. Dancers, readers, actors, animators and artists will begin performing for Muscovites at special venues in Moscow parks. Acceptance of applications for participation in the project will begin on April 30.
“One of the most popular urban projects, Street Artist, is starting a new stage. Together with our partner Mosgorpark, we are expanding the scope of the project. Now the artists will perform not only on the streets of the city, but also at special venues in the main parks of Moscow. And Muscovites and guests of the capital will be able to get free access to concerts, plays and performances in their favorite places of recreation, ”said Andrey Petrov, director of the Moscow Production Center, which coordinates the project.
Artists on the city streets returned only in March, but they have already managed two thousand performances. “During peak hours, the workload of sites reaches 89 percent. For us, this is an indicator of the demand for the project among the artists, ”said Andrey Petrov.
Performance venues will appear in 19 parks. Their representatives will select artists according to their concept.
The selection will take place in several stages. On the first – from April 30 to May 17 (until 10:00) – participants fill out a questionnaire on website Moscow Production Center. The application form must include a video of the performance of the ensemble with a duration of at least 60 seconds. At the second stage, the participants will be selected who will advance to the final. At the third stage, the jury will listen to the artists live. After that, the names of the winners of the competition will be announced – they will be published on the website and on the pages of the Moscow Production Center in social networks. Winners will be able to book venues throughout the season.
