The crews of the Mi-24P attack helicopters from a separate helicopter regiment of the Central Military District (CVO), stationed in the Novosibirsk Region, will for the first time take part in an aviation demonstration flight on Victory Day in Yekaterinburg.

To participate in a demonstration flight of aviation in Yekaterinburg, a pair of Mi-24P attack helicopters flew about 1,500 kilometers from Novosibirsk to Sverdlovsk Oblast. At the base airfield near Novosibirsk, the pilots worked out coherence when maneuvering as part of a pair at minimum intervals with exact observance of the speed limit. In the Sverdlovsk Region, during training sessions over the Travyany airfield, the Mi-24P crews also practiced actions as part of a single aviation parade formation.

A demonstration flight of the Central Military District aviation will take place in Yekaterinburg on May 9 as part of a military parade in honor of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. 14 aircrafts will fly in parade air formation: the world’s largest serial transport helicopter Mi-26, modernized transport and combat Mi-8MTV5-1, attack helicopters Mi-24P, transport planes An-12, An-26, passenger turbojet aircraft Tu- 134UBL, Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft, Su-34 multifunctional fighter-bombers and MiG-31BM high-altitude fighter-interceptors.
