According to forecasters, almost 40 percent of the monthly rainfall may fall.

“According to forecasters, the amount of precipitation will be up to 20 millimeters, which is almost 40 percent of the monthly norm. All city services have been put on high alert due to the worsening weather, ”said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Utilities and Improvement Peter Biryukov.

On round-the-clock duty are emergency teams of engineering companies and prefectures of administrative districts. Electricity companies have been instructed to alert all possible sources of emergency power.

“The city’s life support facilities and fuel and energy facilities have been taken under special control. In places of possible temporary accumulations of water, teams of specialists with special equipment from city services are on duty, ”stressed Pyotr Biryukov.

Motorists are asked to be more careful on the road, strictly observe the speed limit and distance. Pedestrians are advised to be more careful on the street and not hide from the weather under the trees.
