In the summer period of training, servicemen of unmanned aviation units of the combined arms army of the Western Military District, stationed in the Leningrad Region, will provide leaders of practical classes in various disciplines of combat training with observation of the results of the exercises performed by trainees at army training grounds.

The crews will conduct video recording using Orlan-10 devices, when servicemen perform exercises of firing small arms and weapons of combat vehicles, grenade launchers and mortars, conducting live firing of squads and platoons, company and battalion tactical exercises, transmit the coordinates of targets for their subsequent destruction when firing artillery units from closed firing positions.

In addition, UAV operators will hone their skills of action in case of a sudden change in the direction and speed of the wind, air temperature, icing of the complexes during the flight, receiving and transmitting signals during precipitation and conducting electronic suppression by a conventional enemy.

Orlan-10 is a multifunctional unmanned complex designed for aerial reconnaissance and observation of enemy targets in hard-to-reach terrain at an altitude of up to several thousand meters at an air temperature of -30 to +40 degrees. The complex is located on the basis of the Kamaz-5350 chassis, which has an increased cross-country ability, and includes workstations for UAV operators, a launcher and communications equipment.
