A 16-year-old boy from Yekaterinburg, Maxim Zhuravlev, who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, thanked the commander of the Central Military District (CVD), Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, for fulfilling his childhood dream of riding a battle tank.

The parents asked for help in making their dreams come true ahead of the 2019 parade. Then the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, promised to ride the child on the T-72B3 during the dress rehearsal. During the rehearsal, the boy drove a Tiger tank and armored vehicle through the central square of Yekaterinburg.

Two years later, the young man, as a token of gratitude, presented a picture burned on a tree, and asked him to fulfill another dream – to fly in a helicopter. The commander of the Central Military District agreed to fulfill another request of the young man and presented him with a model of the T-90S tank, and also invited him to the dress rehearsal of the parade, which will be held on May 7.
