In honor of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, servicemen of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in the North Caucasus and Transcaucasia carried out measures to improve about 200 memorial graves and monuments.

In the mountain villages of North Ossetia, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and South Ossetia, mobile groups of servicemen of the Southern Military District were created, which put in order the monuments and memorials of the Great Patriotic War.

The servicemen removed debris, repaired and painted metal fences, cleaned and painted monuments, planted trees, and restored brickwork on pedestals. Also, the servicemen carried out improvement activities in the places of deployment of military units, where there are monuments to Soviet soldiers.

At the end of the work, the laying of new wreaths and flowers was organized. Measures for the improvement of burials are carried out by the personnel of the 58th combined-arms army of the Southern Military District every year.
