Visitors will learn about new professions in industries such as architecture, construction, transportation, tourism, education, and energy.
A permanent exhibition dedicated to future and existing professions in the field of ecology will open at the Ecocenter on Yauza. Visitors will learn about specialties that have emerged or will soon appear in areas such as architecture, construction, transport, tourism, education and energy. There will be an opportunity not only to understand what tasks a particular specialist performs, but also to visit their place.
“Environmental protection, concern for the rational use of resources and the formation of the ecological consciousness of the population are the most urgent tasks of modern cities. Ecocenter on Yauza will become a unique educational platform in the field of ecology for visitors of all ages. In it it will be possible not only to get acquainted with new professions, but also to take part in master classes, lectures, discussions, to pass vocational guidance testing, “- said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government
The exposition itself will be divided into five thematic zones: “Nature”, “Man”, “City”, “Ecotechnology” and “Professional laboratory”.
Pavilion 1: eco-urbanist, urban farmer and agroecologist
In the pavilion “Nature” they will tell about urban eco-approaches in the modern world. For example, an eco-urbanist is involved in solving the problem of designing a green city. It creates urban infrastructure in the areas of housing and communal services, improvement and energy.
Here you can also find out what the urban farmer is doing, how agricultural facilities are created and maintained in the city, mainly on the roofs and walls of buildings.
It is especially important to solve environmental problems in agriculture. This is done by an agroecologist – a specialist in the implementation of environmental technologies in the agro-industrial complex. He studies the features of sustainable plant cultivation, develops eco-fertilizers and innovative methods of harvesting.
Another important profession is a veterinarian-rehabilitation specialist. This specialist treats animals affected by unfavorable environmental conditions or the consequences of environmental disasters.
Pavilion No. 2: eco-nutritionist, eco-volunteer and eco-blogger
Ecology is not only coming to offices and enterprises, but it is becoming a way of life. For example, an ecodietologist deals with the study of proper nutrition. He develops a menu consisting exclusively of ecological and healthy products.
An eco-volunteer is responsible for organizing, supporting and participating in environmental initiatives. It acts on its own and creates active urban communities united by one goal – to protect the environment and to shape the ecological thinking of the townspeople.
During the pandemic, trips across Russia became especially popular. In this regard, the popularity of the profession of an ecotourism manager has increased.
This specialist develops ecological tourism in natural and specially protected natural areas (SPNA). He deals with the creation of the right infrastructure in these places, socio-cultural programming and the development of local ecological communities, and also develops ecological routes.
The participation of eco-bloggers in solving environmental problems is indispensable today. They create text, photo and video content, write articles and reviews on environmental topics in order to form environmental habits in the audience and attract tourists to protected areas and natural areas.
Pavilion No. 3: eco-designer, ecologist-logistician and more
In the pavilion “City” they plan to pay attention to the creation of ecological solutions in the urban environment. One of the main global trends is urbanization and the growth of megacities, including Moscow. At the beginning of 2021, more than 12.5 million people live in the capital.
That is why an eco-designer – a specialist working in the field of ecological construction, architecture and eco-design – will become a demanded profession. It creates facilities that meet green building standards using innovative materials to meet the challenges of autonomy, energy efficiency, safety and optimization. This profession helps create smart homes in smart cities.
An equally important profession will be an environmental logist – a person responsible for creating a modern and environmentally friendly transport and logistics infrastructure in the city. The expert on sustainable development of the territory will be responsible for creating the infrastructure of cities and territories for people.
In the pavilion it will be possible to get acquainted with the profession of a specialist in eco-processing. He deals with the recycling of clothing and fabrics for recycling purposes.
Pavilion 4: closed-loop technologist and energy consultant
In the Ecotechnology pavilion, one can learn about innovations that are used to solve environmental problems.
Here guests will be able to get acquainted with such a profession as an engineer for the creation of eco-materials. This is a specialist – a developer of new composite materials that improve the key parameters of the finished product in production – functionality, wear resistance, strength and durability.
The most important tasks of the modern world are energy efficient solutions and technologies. These topics are addressed by an energy consultant (a specialist responsible for organizing optimal energy consumption in a home, school, office, hospital and outdoors), as well as an alternative energy expert (a specialist in the development of energy generation and storage systems).
When a closed-cycle economy replaces a linear economy, a closed-cycle technologist becomes an especially relevant profession. This person plans and calculates the entire production cycle – from the creation of materials to their subsequent separate collection, processing and reuse.
Pavilion 5: master classes and films
In the fifth pavilion – “Proflaboratory” – it will be possible to take part in practical exercises, master classes, lectures and presentations. In the cinema, viewers will be able to watch films about the professions of the future in the field of ecology, and after watching, become participants in the discussion and take tests as part of a career guidance program.
