Within the framework of events dedicated to Children’s Day, at the initiative of the Women’s Council of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Novosibirsk region with the support of the united trade union organization of the penal system of the Novosibirsk region, 10 children of employees of the Main Directorate of an ostrich farm in the village of Kolyvan.

Not only ostriches live on the farm, it contains emus, mini-pigs, Cameroon goats, yak, ponies, Oryol trotters, tame foxes, raccoons, raccoon dogs, donkeys, arctic foxes, thoroughbred Moscow watchdogs, alabai, geese, pheasants, camels, ferrets , rabbits.

“An educational tour of the enclosures with animals was conducted for the children and their parents, some of the animals were touched by the children, and Vasily’s camel, goats and pigs were even allowed to be fed,” commented the head of the department of educational and social work with personnel, Major of the Internal Service Yulia Peremitina.

After the excursion, a picnic with contests and sweet gifts was organized for the children. The children were very pleased with the event, and the parents expressed their gratitude to the organizers. Similar events for the children of employees are planned to be held in the future once a month.
