June 1 this year the summer training period began with solemn meetings with the participation of the command and personnel in the formations and military units of the Airborne Forces. From today, the paratroopers will begin the next scheduled cycle of combat training.

In order to increase the level of fire training of the personnel of the troops and the quality of the organization of combat training, special attention will be paid to fire training during firing exercises and control exercises for all categories of servicemen.

In the new academic year, more than 1,000 live-fire exercises have been planned with the personnel of military units. Of these, more than 350 combat firing squads, more than 100 combat firing of platoons, more than 40 company tactical exercises of which about 20 will be two-sided.

The airborne assault and paratrooper units will take part in 12 battalion tactical exercises with the landing of personnel and equipment, it is planned to conduct 2 regimental tactical command and staff exercises with the landing of military personnel and military equipment.

The main event of the combat training of troops will be the participation of servicemen of the Airborne Forces in the SSU “West-2021”. In 2021, it is planned to hold more than 50 events according to the plan of international activities, 7 of which are joint exercises of troops.

In addition, the personnel of the Airborne Forces will continue their participation in the struggle for victory at the international stages of the International Army Games-2021 competitions, both in Russia and abroad as part of the combined teams of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

It is planned to continue to perform tasks related to improving the combat capabilities of the troops, re-equipping formations and military units with the most modern types of weapons, military and special equipment (VVST).

The troops will continue to supply modern parachute systems D-10 and “Arbalet-2”, property, the latest parachute systems for the landing of combat vehicles and cargo.

The personnel of formations and military units will continue to improve their skills and will make more than 100 thousand parachute jumps from army aviation helicopters and IL-76 MD aircraft by the Russian Aerospace Forces Military Transport Aviation.

In order to continue the traditions of the Airborne Forces, the military-patriotic education of the younger generation with the participation of the Command of the Airborne Forces, paratroopers, veteran and military-patriotic organizations, VVPOD “Yunarmiya” it is planned to participate in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. wars of 1941-1945, various military-patriotic events.
