In accordance with the combat training plan, the large landing ships (BDK) “Peresvet” and “Oslyabya” of the Primorsky flotilla of the diverse forces of the Pacific Fleet performed a set of practical combat exercises in the Sea of Japan.

The crews of the large landing craft, together with the marines, conducted a special tactical and special lesson in the Landing Bay for loading onto the ship using the method of emphasizing equipment and personnel of the amphibious assault. Then, operating at sea, the ships in turn inflicted a series of artillery strikes on complex target positions on the shore, which imitated long-term firing points, equipment and personnel of the conditional enemy. To suppress targets, the Peresvet BDK used the Grad-M 122-mm shipborne multiple launch rocket system.

Further, at the BDK naval training ground, they conducted an exercise to repel an attack by a mock enemy’s air attack and conducted artillery fire at an air target.

A little later, large amphibious ships were fired by 76-mm AK-176 artillery mounts and 57-mm AK-725 artillery mounts at a naval towed shield imitating a mock enemy’s surface ship and issued electronic jamming.

During the mine defense exercise, naval crews fired at a mock-up of a sea floating mine.
