Mandatory labeling of ice cream and cheese began in Russia on June 1, 2021. The corresponding government decree was signed on December 15, 2020.

“More than 1 billion codes were ordered by 826 companies. Integrators and printing houses have also confirmed their readiness for marking. Today, 57 printing houses are fully ready,” he said. According to him, the system handles high load well and works without delays or disruptions. Workload increased eightfold last week, with 99% of documents processed in less than 10 minutes.

As noted in the CRPT, a support service is working in an enhanced mode for cheese and ice cream producers, and personal managers of the labeling operator have been allocated. Systematic and personal work is carried out with each enterprise of the product group.

CRPT specialists traveled to 85 sites in 30 regions of the country, held more than 300 events with the regions, including working groups, and sent 1,246 letters to cheese and ice cream producers with notification of the entry into force of the labeling.

“All participants in the turnover are informed that there will be no postponements of the mandatory labeling of dairy products.
