From June 2 to June 5, the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is being held in St. Petersburg.
For the period of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the forces and means of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in St. Petersburg, involved in ensuring its events, are put on high alert. A permanent operational headquarters has also been created, the task of which is to coordinate the work of all power structures and emergency services of the city.
The main venue for SPIEF events was the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center. Fire-tactical drills and classes were held here in advance. The monitoring of the fire situation on the territory and near the Expoforum is carefully monitored by the calculations of fire and rescue equipment, as well as firefighting squads formed from among the employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in St. Petersburg.
On the eve of the event, the employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in St. Petersburg carried out a set of measures aimed at ensuring the fire safety of the facilities involved in the forum. Special attention was paid to transport infrastructure facilities, a number of hotels, the Expoforum congress and exhibition center, as well as some of theatrical, entertainment, cultural and educational facilities.
The calculations of the rescuers and inspectors of the department are exhibited at all the most important facilities involved in the forum. The general grouping of forces and means of the fire and rescue garrison of St. Petersburg, which ensures the safety of all guests and participants of SPIEF-2021, is more than 120 units of equipment and about 600 personnel.
In addition, within the framework of the forum, EMERCOM employees take part in panel discussions. On the first day of its work, the director of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technical Activities, Alexander Bondar, took part in the panel discussion “Education of the Future: How to Benefit from the Implementation of New Formats”.
