Subdivisions of a separate motorized rifle brigade of the combined-arms army of the Southern Military District (YuVO), stationed in the Stavropol Territory, began training in a modular system.

The essence of this system lies in the separate streams of training units, including the development of theory in classrooms, the acquisition of practical skills using the command training base and simulators, and then working out tasks directly at the training grounds. At the same time, the places where classes are held are changed between divisions on a weekly basis.

Thus, within a month, servicemen study the theory for two weeks, consolidate the knowledge gained on the command-line training and material base, and devote one week to practice, being in the field around the clock.

In the course of field exercises, the brigade’s servicemen will have to work out a number of tasks for organizing and conducting combat training operations. They will perform firing practice exercises from MT-LB weapons, T-72B3M tanks, as well as from RPG-7V, AGS-17 “Flame” grenade launchers, “Pecheneg” machine guns and other small arms.

The system makes it possible to ensure the maximum involvement of personnel in training in the subjects of combat training without interrupting the duties of internal service and combat duty.

More than 3 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District were involved in the development of practical tasks, about 500 units of military and special equipment were involved.
