On the territory of the industrial zone, an exhibition of products manufactured in the colonies was launched. The guests paid special attention to under-rail pads, rubber crossings, samples of overalls, metal structures for fencing stations and tracks, as well as metal locking devices. During the visit, the delegation visited the production sites of the colony No. 1.
Summing up the results from the presented booklets, representatives of the Bryansk division of Russian Railways could see the full range of products manufactured at the enterprises of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Bryansk Region. Deputy head of the penitentiary department Sergey Zakharov spoke in detail about the industrial potential of correctional institutions, the employment of convicts, as well as the flexibility of the pricing policy of the department’s enterprises and the execution of orders, including those according to individual customer sizes. He noted that providing the colonies with orders, first of all, guarantees the employment of convicts, which is one of the components of the process of their re-socialization and compensation for damage to victims.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached with the leadership of the regional division of Russian Railways on the consideration of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Bryansk region as a provider of services and products as a matter of priority.
