About five thousand objects, including courtyards, parks and reservoirs, are planned to be put in order in the capital this year. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov.

“The work has been launched on a large-scale at all sites. These are parks and courtyards, iconic objects in the form of ponds, adjacent territories to ponds. In this case, the Mars Park is seven hectares of territory, and there is a pond here. Or a fairly large pond (eight hectares) and the adjacent territory (30 hectares) in Golyanovo. And there are dozens of such examples, ”the deputy mayor specified.

Today about 40 thousand people and about two thousand pieces of equipment are employed in the improvement work. The main part of the work is planned to be completed by September 1.

All improvement projects were discussed with the residents of the districts, most of the proposals will be implemented.

“The work was organized at the facilities, the improvement projects of which were discussed with the residents and received approval during the discussion,” added Pyotr Biryukov.

One of the largest improvement objects – Balchug Island, the space of which will be visually divided into historical and modern. For this, lanterns of different design will be installed, and the embankment parapets will be equipped with illumination, sidewalks will be updated and the area along the water will be landscaped.

Works will also be carried out in Dmitrovsky lane on Shabolovka, on Krasnaya Presnya street and Zvenigorodskoe highway, in the area near metro station “Butyrskaya”and other objects.
