Traffic will be completely blocked throughout the entire 1.5-kilometer work area.

Asphalt will be completely replaced in the center of Moscow. The work will be carried out from 11 to 14 June on the section of Tverskaya and 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya streets (on both sides from Nastasinsky lane to Lesnaya street). This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov

“For the duration of the work, the movement of vehicles on this section with a total length of 1.5 kilometers will be completely blocked for cars. The relevant information will be brought to the attention of the townspeople in advance so that they plan their trips to the center taking into account the changes, ”he stressed.

The road surface on this section was last changed in 2017 using seamless paving technology (single carpet) simultaneously across the entire width of the carriageway. This allowed the roadbed to be operated for four seasons. For the roads of the first category, to which these streets belong, the asphalt overhaul period is three years.

“Now ruts have already formed on the road due to heavy traffic, which can cause accidents. After inspecting this area, a special commission made a decision on the need for repairs, ”said Pyotr Biryukov.

In total, 49 thousand square meters of road surface will be replaced on this site. Work will be carried out at an accelerated pace and around the clock again using seamless technology, which will significantly reduce the time for replacing asphalt.
