Cynologists, together with their wards, demonstrated to the young guests the mastery of general and special training courses: service dogs carried out various commands of the course of obedience by gestures and voice, demonstrated the ability to detect prohibited substances hidden in various places, and detained an escaping offender.
In the first days of summer holidays, girls and boys from the Sodruzhestvo children’s center became participants in an interesting and informative excursion to the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Kaluga Region. The children visited the town for keeping the service dogs of the remand prison No. 1, met with dog handlers and learned to understand the breeds of dogs.
More than thirty children from 6 to 12 years old visited the cynological town accompanied by teachers.
Olga Tolkacheva, the head of the canine service of the department for organizing the security service of the regional administration, gave the children a tour of the canine town, where she showed service dogs, told about the rules for keeping and feeding them, and caring for them. The children were also able to see special areas where service dogs are trained.
Cynologists Elena Yashina, Yekaterina Koryagina and Anton Kubarev, together with their wards, demonstrated to the young guests the mastery of general and special training courses: service dogs performed various commands of the course of obedience by gestures and voice, demonstrated the ability to detect prohibited substances hidden in various places, and detained the runaway offender. Those present got the most impressions from the performance of the comic exercise “Bunny”.
At the end of the event, the teachers accompanying the children thanked the staff for the interesting excursion and informative story, and the children were able to take pictures and pet the four-legged pets.
