A new art object has appeared in the center of Stavropol. The wall of the military unit on Pushkin Street was decorated with patriotic graffiti. It depicts a participant in the Great Patriotic War, Alexander Ponomarenko, and next to him – Anna Zarochintseva, an activist of UNARMIA.
“This is a great honor for me! Of course, at first I didn’t want my portrait to decorate the city center. But on the other hand, how could it be otherwise? – Anna shared her impressions. “This is how we strive to please the veterans. To say with this picture that we remember their feat, appreciate their colossal contribution to the victory over Nazism and preserve the connection between generations. It’s good that the participants in those events are still alive. They are like living books for us, you can come up and ask them about the war. True, to be honest, I don’t really want to disturb them, as these memories freeze my soul … But we must know! “
Anna Zarochintseva took part in many youth army actions, including carrying the “Memory Watch” in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Volgograd and Sevastopol. She also came to “ARMY-2018” and to the rally “High five”, dedicated to the anniversary of “UNARMIA”. The girl is the owner of the “Young Defender of the Fatherland” badge, which is awarded for special services in the youth army movement, good studies, social work and discipline.
“The all-Russian action“ Graffiti of Victory ”is very popular. It is dedicated to the large-scale project of the Ministry of Defense “Memory Road”. Drawings made by the hands of the Yunarmeys have already appeared in many cities of the country: in Malgobek, Makhachkala, Krasnodar, Vladivostok, Anapa, Astrakhan and Sochi. Not so long ago, art objects were opened in Tyumen and Moscow. In the Tagansky district, on the wall of the building, they depicted the “chief officer of the country” Vasily Lanovoy and real youth soldiers who participated in the Victory Parade on May 9, “explained Anton Kuznetsov, deputy chief of the General Staff for project activities of the UNARMIA VVPOD, who oversees the project.
As for the veteran depicted on the “Victory Graffiti” in Stavropol, Alexander Sergeevich Ponomarenko, he is a very respected person in the city, a member of the Presidium of the City Council of Veterans. He takes an active part in holding patriotic events, meets with young people and talks about the feat of his comrades.
Alexander Ponomarenko himself went to the front in 1943 as a 15-year-old teenager. He became a graduate of the military-technical airfield service unit, with which he reached the border with Germany. On an equal footing with adults, he prepared runways, often under enemy fire, risking his own life. After the war, Alexander Sergeevich remained to serve in the Armed Forces, graduated from a military school, became an officer, leaving the army with the rank of colonel.
Let me remind you that the All-Russian Children and Youth Military-Patriotic Movement “YUNARMIA” was created in 2016 at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and with the support of the President of Russia. Now in its ranks there are more than 800 thousand participants – the most daring, the most courageous, the most initiative guys. The main task of the movement is patriotic education, as well as the physical, intellectual and social development of young people.
