Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh organized the delivery of targeted humanitarian aid for internally displaced persons and large families.

In the course of a targeted humanitarian action, Russian peacekeepers handed over household items and food sets to internally displaced persons and families with many children.

“Targeted humanitarian aid was carried out today. Today we have delivered kitchen sets to three families in need of this property, and they were also given food sets. These families came to us yesterday at the Citizens’ Reception Center, ”said Ruslan Ivanov, an officer of the Humanitarian Response Center.

In total, over 150 families received targeted humanitarian aid from Russian peacekeepers this week. The officers of the humanitarian response center have an individual approach to providing targeted assistance. Residents are given basic necessities – clothes and shoes for children and adults, washing powders, gas burners for cooking, kitchen utensils, grocery sets, bedding sets, pillows, blankets, personal hygiene items, children’s toys, as well as individual medical kits.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
