This meeting reaffirms our growing interest in Eurasian integration. Observer countries are taking part in the events of this intergovernmental council, including Cuba, Moldova and Uzbekistan. Representatives of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were also invited as guests.

Colleagues, 12 April marks a very important anniversary for all of us. It’s 60 years since Yuri Gagarin’s space flight. Members of the Eurasian Economic Union put on anniversary events. And it is symbolic that we will be reviewing a report on the development program for the production and delivery of space and geo-information products and services. We will also be exchanging views on the prospects for developing cooperation in space research.

The agenda of the meeting includes several important issues that determine major spheres of our cooperation in such fields as industrial production, agriculture and many other sectors.

I am quite certain that the decisions that will be made during this meeting will give a new impetus to our integration within the Eurasian Economic Union.

Once again, welcome to the Russian Federation. I would like to pass the floor now to Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Union.
