The specialists will update the roads and sidewalks, install lighting poles, and plant trees and shrubs.

The municipal economy complex has begun a comprehensive improvement of the territory near the station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Vorontsovskaya metro station, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for housing and communal services and improvement Peter Biryukov.

The works will take place on Nametkina Street, sections of Akademik Chelomey Street and Starokaluzhskoye Highway. Specialists will replace the asphalt-concrete road surface, as well as equip comfortable sidewalks, which will be separated from the roadway with a curb.

“Landscaping is also envisaged: lawns and flower beds will be equipped, more than 50 trees and 122 shrubs are planned to be planted in autumn,” the deputy mayor said.

Three modern stopping pavilions with charging stations for mobile devices and wireless communication will be equipped for public transport passengers.

Two scooter and bicycle rental points will appear near the station, and a modern children’s playground will be built near Vorontsovsky Park.

Additional lighting will be installed for the safety of pedestrians. More than 140 lanterns with energy-saving lamps will be put into operation near the station. Pedestrian crossings are equipped with contrasting lighting.

This year in Moscow work planned for the improvement of territories near 13 stations.

BCL will become the longest metro ring line in the world. Its length will be 70 kilometers. 31 stations will open on the line. From them it will be possible to make transfers to radial metro lines, the Moscow Central Ring, Moscow Central Diameters and radial railway lines.

Now 10 BCL stations are working for passengers. In February 2018, Delovoy Tsentr, Shelepikha, Khoroshevskaya, CSKA and Petrovsky Park were opened in the north-west of Moscow. At the end of the same year, another station appeared – “Savelovskaya”. In March 2020, the first passengers were received by Lefortovo, Aviamotornaya and Nizhegorodskaya, in December – by Electrozavodskaya. In 2021, it is planned to open 11 more stations on the Big Circle Line.
