In the competition for the best specialist in the food service “Army Reserve”, held at the branch of the Military Academy of MTO in Volsk from May 31 to June 5, 2021, a team of specialists from the 12th Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense took 1st place, gaining the largest number of points among the types and combat arms, federal executive bodies.
The team consisted of 2 bakers, 2 cooks – they were represented by servicemen under the contract of the Central Range of the Russian Federation. In the individual standings of bakers and cooks, specialists from the 12th Main Directorate entered the top three.
During the week, the teams competed both in fulfilling the standards for fire and physical training, and in the skill of cooking, including in the field.
The panel of judges assessed the quality of food preparation according to several criteria – appearance, originality of design and presentation, adherence to recipes, taste, color, smell.
According to the results of the competition, a baker – a serviceman of the Central training ground of the Russian Federation – was selected for the team of the Armed Forces, which will represent the Russian Federation at the international competitions “Field Kitchen” as part of the International Army Games-2021 in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
