In the Admiralty, at a meeting led by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, a working meeting was held on the further development of the service system for surface ships and submarines of new projects at the enterprises of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. In particular, Admiral Nikolay Evmenov heard reports from representatives of relevant bodies on this topic. Special attention was paid to the maintenance of new generations of nuclear submarines. The issue of the implementation of contracts concluded between JSC PO Sevmash (part of USC) and the Ministry of Defense for servicing nuclear submarines of the Borey and Borei-A projects of the Northern and Pacific fleets was discussed. The works are designed for three years – from 2021 to 2023.

We are talking about submarine missile carriers built at the enterprise and transferred to the Navy under the Borey project: Yuri Dolgoruky (in the Navy since 2013), Alexander Nevsky (in the Navy since 2013) and Vladimir Monomakh “(In the Navy since 2014), as well as on the Borey-A project of the nuclear submarine Knyaz Vladimir (in the Navy since 2020). Since 2014, within the framework of state contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, SEVMASH is the only contractor for servicing modern nuclear submarines of the 4th generation. At the bases of ships in the Northern and Pacific fleets, there are branches of the enterprise, which have all the possibilities to carry out maintenance work.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, set the task for the meeting participants to continue close cooperation with representatives of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, shipbuilding enterprises in the framework of the development of a service system for ships, ships, nuclear and non-nuclear submarines. The purpose of the service is to ensure the full life cycle of ships and submarines.
