The rally “Nobody is forgotten, nothing is forgotten” has started in Murmansk. Until June 12, participants will travel 3,400 km from north to south of Russia, from the Barents Sea to the Black Sea, from the hero city of Murmansk to the hero city of Novorossiysk.

The patriotic action is timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The purpose of the rally is to preserve historical memory and pay tribute to the participants in the Great Patriotic War who died defending the Motherland.

The action was organized by the Trade Union of Civilian Personnel of the Russian Armed Forces in cooperation with the command of the Northern Fleet, the government of the Murmansk region, the administration of the city of Severomorsk, the regional branch of the International Peace Fund and the regional branch of the veteran organization “Combat Brotherhood”.

Participants of the action will carry along the route the banner of Victory, flags of the Russian Federation and the Murmansk region, the Trade Union of the Armed Forces of Russia, Andreevsky, cities and organizations, as well as portraits of participants in the war.

Wreath-laying ceremonies and flower-laying ceremonies are planned at different points of the route in memorial places associated with the feat of Soviet soldiers. The ceremonies will be attended by representatives of military units and organizations of the Russian Armed Forces, administrations of cities and towns, veterans, representatives of the Yunarmiya movement and youth.

The column finishes on June 12 at the Malaya Zemlya memorial in Novorossiysk.
