The creation of promising energy-intensive materials and the use of a unique component of energy condensed systems – dinitratic acid ammonium salt (ADNA), lost in the 1990s, were discussed.
During the meeting, the participants considered the results of creating high-energy compositions based on ADNA as part of R&D to develop new promising energy-intensive materials based on it, as well as promising products for various purposes for the country’s defense. ADNA is an irreplaceable component of solid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missiles that can radically improve the ballistic characteristics of solid propellants.
In the 1970s, in the USSR, in the shortest possible time, unique production facilities for this component and solid fuels based on it were created, which surpassed the best foreign analogues in terms of energy and mass characteristics. In the 1990s, the production of ADNA in Russia, along with many other industries of special chemistry, was lost. Only in recent years, thanks to the efforts of the scientific and technical council of the military-industrial complex and the collegium of the military-industrial complex, it has been restored, the product has become available for new developments. It has great prospects in terms of environmental friendliness, since fuels based on it have only water, nitrogen and carbon dioxide in the combustion products.
