At a regular meeting of the military-industrial complex in Korolev, which was held on the basis of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation JSC, issues of the development of digital twin technology were considered to improve the quality and reduce the time for creating weapons and equipment, as well as improve gas turbine engines for military drones.
One of the factors for strengthening the defense capability and ensuring the security of the state is the reduction in the time and cost of creating weapons and military equipment for the Armed Forces, said Andrei Yelchaninov, First Deputy Chairman of the Military-Industrial Complex Collegium, opening the meeting. The systematic development and widespread introduction of digital twin technology using artificial intelligence, virtual modeling and the use of high-performance computing, including supercomputer technologies, is aimed at achieving this goal.
During the discussion of the issue of gas turbine engines for military drones, promising areas of technology in the field of power generation and distribution, the creation of hybrid and additive engines, as well as basic power plants unified for various types of manned and unmanned vehicles were considered.
Taking into account the positive experience of holding field meetings of the military-industrial complex collegium and in order to familiarize its members with the new weapons and military equipment developed and produced by organizations of the military-industrial complex, it was decided to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
