On the eve of the World Day for Environmental Protection and the World Day for the Purification of Water Bodies, employees of the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Tver region held an environmental campaign to clean up the territories of settlements, rivers and ponds.

In the Bologovsky district, LIU-3 employees improved the area surrounding the institution. Also, the event was attended by convicts from the section of the colony-settlement of this institution.

Together they put things in order in the forest belt, removed branches and debris on the roadside area adjacent to the village of Mikhailovskoye, and on the banks of the Zvanka and Valdayka rivers.

The object of activity of the employees of IK-10 (Kalininsky District) was a fire pond located in the village of Metallistov. The pond is home to several species of fish, and many locals spend their leisure time fishing, polluting the shores. Correctional colony staff cleaned the area. Then they planted flowers and shrubs near the administrative building of the institution.

In Rzhev, one of the favorite recreation places of the townspeople is Nizhniy Bor on the Volga. The consequences of such “love” are sad: scattered rubbish, broken tree branches.

Employees of IK-7 and SIZO-3 went out to clean the territory of the pine forest. Armed with shovels and rakes, they removed a large amount of various debris and planted young trees. The employees of the institutions decided to continue organizing such volunteer actions in the future.
