On the airfield of the airfield, the units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were met by the head of the exercise – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Airborne Forces of Russia, Major General Nikolai Choban, who warmly greeted the Belarusian paratroopers on Russian soil and wished them a successful solution of joint training and combat teachings.

According to the established tradition, the arriving participants of the exercise were greeted with bread and salt, and the military band of the Novorossiysk naval base sang the anthems of the two countries.

Having passed all the necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures, the Belarusian paratroopers arrived at the Raevsky training ground, where they settled in the APL-500 autonomous field camp.

The day before, a train arrived at the Tunnelnaya station near Novorossiysk with military and special equipment of the formation, consisting of about 60 armored personnel carriers BTR-80 and MAZ and Ural vehicles, which, having made a march from the unloading station, arrived at the field park at the Raevsky training ground.

In the period from 8 to 19 June on the basis of the Novorossiysk guards airborne assault mountain unit of the airborne forces in the Krasnodar Territory, a joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise “Slavic Brotherhood-2021” will be held.

The active phase of the combat training event will be held at the Raevsky training ground near Novorossiysk from June 16 to 18.

Servicemen from Russia, Belarus and Serbia will coordinate units for the subsequent development of joint actions as part of a multinational tactical group.

In total, about 100 servicemen of a special brigade of the Armed Forces of Serbia, about 350 servicemen of the Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Force of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus on 60 units of standard military equipment, as well as more than 500 servicemen of the Guards Airborne Assault Kuban Cossack Regiment will take part in the exercise. The first trilateral joint tactical exercise “Slavic Brotherhood” was held in 2015 at the Raevsky training ground in the Krasnodar Territory.
