The updated section “Open Data” began to function on the portal of state services of Tatarstan, the press service of the Ministry of Informatization and Communications of the republic said.

There are 241 datasets available in the section in CSV format. Information is presented in the form of tables and dynamic maps with the ability to download and update data via API.

The section “Open data” contains three subsections: “Directory of personalities” (database of contact data for employees of the authorities of Tatarstan), “Consumer market” (average retail prices for food and non-food products), “Economy and Finance” (consumer price index, data on unemployment and production).

To obtain information about what data is most in demand and popular with users, the number of views and downloads is indicated for each set.

In the future, it is planned to increase the number of dataset formats and additional visualization in the form of “heat maps” and polygons on the map.

The service for publishing data in machine-readable form “Open Data of the Republic of Tatarstan” has been operating since January. Until recently, it contained only two data sets – “List of Civil Registry Offices in the Republic of Tatarstan” and “List of State Autonomous Healthcare Institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan” – in CSV format with the ability to view data in tabular form and on a map as labels.
