Servicemen of the consolidated special forces unit of the armed forces of the Republic of Serbia arrived in the city of Novorossiysk to participate in the joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise “Slavic Brotherhood-2021”.
Having passed all the necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures, the Serbian servicemen are deployed at the location of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Mountain Formation of the Airborne Forces.
According to the established tradition, the participants of the exercise were greeted with bread and salt, and the military band of the Kuban Cossack Regiment sang the anthems of the two countries.
The head of the exercise, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Airborne Forces, Major General Nikolai Tchoban, greeted the participants in the joint exercise and wished the Serbian servicemen success in fulfilling the assigned combat training tasks.
On the parade ground, the ritual of securing sets of military equipment and weapons to the servicemen of the armed forces of the Republic of Serbia was solemnly held. A comprehensive lesson on compliance with safety requirements was carried out.
Before the start of the active phase, servicemen from the three countries will coordinate a joint unit during training for the subsequent practice of practical actions as part of a multinational tactical group.
The active phase of the joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise “Slavic Brotherhood-2021” will take place from June 16 to 18 this year at the Rayevsky training ground near Novorossiysk.
In total, about 100 servicemen of the special forces unit of the Armed Forces of Serbia, about 300 servicemen of a separate guards airborne unit of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and about 60 units of standard military equipment, as well as more than 500 servicemen and over 100 units of military and special equipment of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Mountain Formation of the Airborne Troops.
