Employees of the military traffic police of the Eastern Military District in the Republic of Buryatia held a preventive action “Attention! Railroad crossing”. The event took place on the territory of the Ulan-Ude garrison as part of the International Day for Safety at Level Crossings.

During the action, the inspectors of the VAI handed military drivers information leaflets about traffic safety in the area of railway crossings, and also reminded of the importance of observing traffic rules when crossing them.

Military traffic inspectors noted that the main safety rule is attention to yourself and those around you. When approaching a railway crossing, the driver must be guided by the requirements of road signs, traffic lights, markings, the position of the barrier, the instructions of the crossing officer, and also make sure that there is no approaching train.

Inspectors of the road patrol service of the VAI, while on duty, handed out memos to military drivers with information on the objectives of the action and on the rules of passage through railway crossings.
