In Syzran, more than 2 thousand people visited the Museum of Engineering Troops on ferries, which makes the longest rafting in history along the internal rivers of Russia from Ufa to Volgograd.

Engineers moored at the river station in the city. Residents and guests of Syzran were able to visit the museum, located on 14 river links of one of the most modern pontoon parks PP-2005, and the engineering boats BMK-MT and BMK-MO, which entered service with the engineering troops in 2020. On the demonstration ferry, both rare expositions of engineering weapons and modern models and equipment, including the robots “Cobra” and “Scarab”, were presented.

The river crossing is timed to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. By June 22, the pontoons will arrive in the hero-city of Volgograd. Here, on the Day of Remembrance and Mourning on the Volga River, near the historical memorial complex “Mamayev Kurgan”, an action in memory of the engineering troops will take place with the participation of ferries from the Republic of Bashkortostan, Vladimir and Rostov regions.

During the transition, each pontoon unit will conduct special tactical exercises, where they will work out more than 30 special tasks for their intended purpose.
