In the course of his work, the Minister of Defense examined the training complexes of the command posts of air and anti-missile defense, missile attack warning systems and space control, checked the course of the training at the command post of modern air defense systems. Sergei Shoigu also got acquainted with the scientific developments of cadets and listeners.
Military Academy of East Kazakhstan named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov’s history dates back to November 24, 1956.
Today, the main feature of training at the academy is the interspecific nature of training specialists in the interests of all types and branches of the RF Armed Forces, which include the forces and means of air defense.
In recent years, the Academy has been supplied with: the latest S-350 Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system, modern training and training facilities for preparing calculations of radio-technical troops, a simulator of the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex, four sets of automated command and control systems that allow trainees of combat skills on modern weapons and military equipment, a modular driving simulator KamAZ-5350.
In 2021, the academy will for the first time graduate girls with a degree in the operation of automated control systems.
